Help fight hunger and loneliness in King County! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.
As a Volunteer Co-Coordinator you would partner with the current Volunteer Coordinator, supporting our wonderful Northshore team in the weekly packing & delivery of meals as well as assisting with admin tasks as needed. The coordinator is able to fill in for any member of the Meals on Wheels team. Availability is needed Thursday from 8AM to 12PM.
Qualities sought in Meals on Wheels volunteers: Commitment to the well-being of elders, good communication skills, reliability, flexibility, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and good cheer.
Requirements: Complete the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Application, consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, the ability to lift 15 pounds, and be age 21 or more.
