Come help at our lovely non-profit thrift store, Re-In-Carnation, located next door to the Sno-Valley Senior Center in Carnation, Washington. We sell donated items, utilizing the proceeds to fund senior programs and services. We are looking for volunteers to cashier, who are comfortable with numbers and customer service. If you're friendly, honest, reasonable organized and like a good deal, this is a great opportunity. The store is adorable, and the staff is a fun group! Hours and Duration of Position:
- Thrift store is open Mon-Sat
- Shifts are 9:30am-1:00pm/ 1:00pm-4:00pm
Tasks and Activities:
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, issue receipts and bag merchandise
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Handle petty cash
- End of day accounting
- Training other volunteers
- Greeting customers
Qualifications
- Excellent customer services skills
- Must me prompt and reliable
- Previous cashier experience a plus
- Organized
