October is here, pumpkins are out, the fuzzy socks have been put on, the smell of cinnamon and pumpkin spice lattes is around us and Halloween is just around the corner. All of these things mean that the YWCA needs your help! We are looking for individuals that would like to help sponsor a basket for Halloween that helps children in our shelters experience the same fun that most of us remember fondly from our childhoods. The baskets provide a pumpkin, a carving kit, candy and endless fun!
We need lots of help, as we are looking to fill around 500 baskets for Halloween! We want to ensure that every family is ready for the upcoming winter and that every kid is having the childhood they deserve!
All donations should be dropped off at the YWCA on Wednesday October 25. We need 2 volunteers to help receive donations then organize, sort, and label donations from 8am-12pm. 2 volunteers are need for the afternoon shift(12pm - 4pm) to stuff and distribute baskets for pick-up from YWCA families.
It'll be a great way to see just how much it means to the kids to be able to celebrate Halloween just like every other kid.
