Description

Join the Green Kirkland Partnership to help with the restoration of Juanita Bay Park. We are continuing our restoration activities in the east side of Juanita Bay Park (east of Market-along Forbes Creek Drive). Volunteers will spend the morning clearing a dense mat of invasive ivy.  No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us!

Where to meet: Meet at the pull out west of 10442 Forbes Creek Dr. (** This is NOT the main entrance of Juanita Bay Park) The volunteers will be working about 200 yards west of the work site.

What to Bring Please dress for the weather (layers are encouraged and rain gear is a must most times of year!), wear close-toed shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a filled water bottle and snacks to munch on. Tools and training will be provided.

Parking: Park in the pullout the is west of 10442 Forbes Creek Drive or park in the Juanita Bay Park parking lot (2201 Market Street) and then cross Market St. (towards the fire station) and walk along the north side of Forbes Creek Dr to reach the restoration site.

Youth Volunteering Volunteers age 14-17 attending the event without a parent or guardian must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to the event with them. Download the Green Kirkland Youth Volunteer Waiver. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
