Description

Join the Green Kirkland Partnership to help with the restoration of Juanita Bay Park. Volunteers will spend the morning doing a mix of restoration activities which may include removing aggressive invasive species like ivy and blackberry, spreading mulch over cleared areas and planting native trees, shrubs and groundcovers.  No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us!

Where to meet: The volunteer event will start inside the park. From the main entrance walk into the park. When you reach the main lower pathway go left and then turn right towards the boardwalk. You will see the event leads near the picnic table.

What to Bring: Please dress for the weather (layers are encouraged and rain gear is a must most times of year!), wear close-toed shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a filled water bottle and snacks to munch on. Tools and training will be provided.

Parking is available in the parking lot.

Youth Volunteering Volunteers age 14-17 attending the event without a parent or guardian must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to the event with them. Download the Green Kirkland Youth Volunteer Waiver. Volunteer under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
