The Community Resource Exchange takes place on March 9, 2017 at CenturyLink Field. People who are homeless get connected with essential hygiene items and services. New shoes, haircuts, housing help, mammograms and dental work—those barely scratch the surface of the impact this event has.
It’s a day full of powerful stories. Clients and volunteers open up to each other. Many volunteers come away with a new awareness for what people experiencing homelessness are going though. This is a day that provides crucial services and upends preconceived notions.
Naturally curious? Have a knack for striking up conversations? Then we want you to join our CRE social media documentation team! Take photos and quotes from people experiencing homelessness. Share their stories in videos and pictures across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat. Many people receiving services at the Community Resource Exchange are happy to share their story. Sharing that story with a broad audience can people educate people on the homelessness emergency in our city.
