Description:
Each Thursday evening, we serve a meal in our building for up to 150 guests, most of whom are experiencing homelessness and/or some kind of food insecurity. We serve a variety of dishes buffet style, always including a salad, starch, veggie, protein, and dessert as well as a selection of beverages. We ask that volunteers assist in setting up, replenishing the buffet, serving as table hosts, and cleaning up afterwards. All who attend are encouraged to eat together, whether volunteer or guest so please come hungry and ready to eat with and befriend new people!
Location:
Urban Hands (8420 Greenwood Ave. N, Seattle WA 98103). Please use our entrance located on 85th Street next to Windermere Real Estate, accessing the double doors next to the bus stop that lead upstairs to our event space.
