Many of you know FareStart for the culinary training programs that they have, which help people develop the work and life skills they need to have lifelong careers. Unfortunately, gaining work skills are not the only barrier to employment that FareStart students experience. Another barrier to employment, especially in the food service, is hygiene.
For this project, Emerging Leaders will be creating laundry and hygiene kits which FareStart will be distributing to their students. This will help knock down yet another barrier to employment, and help set these students on the path to self-sufficiency.
This opportunity is open to young professionals in their 20s and 30s as part of our Emerging Leaders program.
