Description

Join the Green Kirkland Partnership to help with the restoration of Juanita Bay Park. Volunteers will spend the morning participating in restoration activities which may include removing non-native invasive plants like English ivy and Himalayan blackberry, spreading mulch over cleared areas, and planting native trees, shrubs and ground covers.  No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us!

This event will be led by a volunteer Green Kirkland Steward. More info on the Green Kirkland Partnership website.

Where to meet: The volunteer event will start inside the park. From the main parking lot, walk into the park past the kiosk and the restrooms. When you reach the main lower pathway go left and then turn right towards the boardwalk. You will see the event leads near the picnic table.

What to Bring: Please dress for the weather (layers are encouraged and rain gear is a must most times of year), wear close-toed shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a filled water bottle and snacks to munch on. Tools, gloves, and training will be provided.
