Volunteers at our Cherry Street Food Bank help by distributing food to clients at our food bank, as well as sorting and repackaging food for distribution. Some volunteers may work on our outside distribution line, although the work stations are under awnings.
For Day of Caring, we have a new opportunity available!
Our shifts on the actual Day of Caring, September 15, are already full, but we have a new opportunity in that same week:
- Wednesday, September 13
- 8:45am - 12pm
- 4 volunteers
Although this isn't on the actual Day of Caring, this project is still part of the event! Volunteers for this project will receive the official Day of Caring t-shirt along with an invite to the celebration on Friday evening at Safeco Field!
Our minimum age is 9 years old or third grade. Volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian volunteer alongside them and both must be registered for the project. Please note: Northwest Harvest cannot provide community service hours for any court-related purposes.
Northwest Harvest is a hunger-response network that provides food to more than 375 food banks, meal programs, and high need schools. Through this network, we provide more than 2 million meals every month.
