Public policy affects all facets of Seattle life, from the number of buses that run your route to work to the number of people sleeping unsheltered every night. It takes a lot to create – or change – policy, but one of the most important ways to do so is to make your voice heard! Lobby Day gives everyone the chance to reach their legislators about issues they truly care about.
We’ll be assembling packets for legislators and lobby day volunteers for United Way and our partner organizations. These packets will help legislators understand and support United Way’s policy priorities, and help volunteers talk about those priorities when they meet with legislators.
Join us to get ready for the day, learn a bit more about what it means to lobby, and maybe even volunteer to make your own voice heard on Lobby Day!
This opportunity is open to young professionals in their 20s and 30s as part of our United Way Emerging Leaders program.
