Integrative Care Outreach (ICO) offers free medical outreach services in King County, WA. ICO meets the medical needs of ANY individuals experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty regardless of insurance status, background, etc. The organization holds 5 pop-up clinics monthly, which are run by more than 30 volunteers and has provided nearly 6,000 100% free patient visits since foundation in 1999.
We are looking for: Executive Director (ED)
Position Role: The ED shall be the chief administrative officer of the corporation, and, subject to the Steering Committee’s control, shall supervise and control all of the assets, business and affairs of the corporation. The ED will be implementing the corporation's strategic plan and is responsible for the organization's consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives.
Position Requirements
- Serve a term of at least one year
- Ideally resides in or near King County, WA.
- Ideally have strong business and/or personal connections to create fundraising opportunities for the organization.
- Prior non-profit, fundraising, and/or board experience is a plus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in board meetings in person or via conference call once per month (attending 9 of 12 per year)
- Assure that the organization has a long-range strategy which achieves its mission, and toward which it makes consistent and timely progress.
- Provide leadership in developing program, organizational and financial plans with the Board of Directors and staff, and carry out plans and policies authorized by the board.
- Promote active and broad participation by volunteers in all areas of the organization's work.
- Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
- Become knowledgeable about the bylaws and structure of ICO and comply with the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.
- Individually fundraise $500 or an amount that is significant to you for the organization each year.
- Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field.
