United Way of King County’s Community Resource Exchange connects thousands of people experiencing homelessness in our region with the services and resources they need, in one place, on one day. Attendees enjoy a hot meal and receive free health services, haircuts, voicemail accounts, legal assistance and access to public benefits, counseling, employment training and more!
Volunteers are integral to the success of this event. Their job is to help provide a warm, welcoming and hospitable environment for participants and to help them access the services they need. Due to the very nature of an event such as this and the difficulty in predicting the turnout, we ask that everyone remain as flexible as possible as we may need to shift volunteers around to a variety of volunteer tasks during the course of the day.
