Did you know that three out of four low-income kids in Washington are behind their peers when they start kindergarten? Additionally, Refugee and immigrant families face more barriers than others in preparing their children for school. United Way believes these kids have as much potential as any child.
Emerging Leaders will be creating literacy kits by wrapping books and decorating number sets for kids in early learning programs. Wrapping and decorations will be holiday themed.
This opportunity is open to young professionals in their 20s and 30s as part of our Emerging Leaders program.
