Description

The Board of Directors governs the Women’s Business Incubator, a Washington State nonprofit 501(c)3. WBI is the parent organization of The Inc., a Community Coworking and Playschool center in the Green Lake neighborhood of Seattle.  The country’s first non-profit coworking space with on-site childcare, The Inc. provides parents the support network of a shared professional workspace with quality childcare included. To support the joint mission of WBI and The Inc., the Board of Directors is responsible for fundraising; hiring and managing executive directors and staff; managing finances; overseeing operations; and building and implementing strategies for fulfilling the organization’s mission.

Members of the Board of Directors share their skills in service to our mission by providing our organization with financial support; professional expertise; their diverse knowledge of constituent perspectives; their connections to local, national or international resources, colleagues or peers; their philanthropic support or other forms of needed assistance.

We're looking for people who are passionate about WBI's mission of achieving gender equity in entrepreneurship, in the work place, and at home, and who would like to contribute their skills, expertise, and commitment to The Inc.
