Help provide groceries to North Seattle with FamilyWorks

With a combination of a food bank and a family resource center, FamilyWorks offers our community members in need a place to truly nourish and strengthen their bodies, minds and spirit in a positive, supportive environment. We would love some help in our food bank to prepare for distribution and serve our participants. This includes receiving deliveries, sorting donations and produce and will involve some lifting and standing. An orientation will be provided and you will work alongside our staff and regular volunteers.  For health and safety reasons, we ask that you do not wear sleeveless tops or open toed shoes. A short confidentiality and expectations form will need to be signed on the day. Day of schedule: 9:30 am-1 pm food bank set up, 1-2 pm lunch in Wallingford (not provided by FamilyWorks), 2-3:30 pm food bank set up and distribution to our participants.
