Description

The Northwest African American Museum is participating in Seattle Center's Moving Around the World! This event takes place during the Seattle Public School mid -winter break with family-focused activities and musical performances.

NAAM is current exhibit is Bold As Love: Jimi Hendrix at Home. It is a look at Jimi's upbringing in Seattle. One of his first instruments was a ukulele!

The hands on activity is learning to play All Along the Watchtower on ukulele!

Our volunteers for the day would need to feel comfortable playing and helping to teach children and teens the basics of the ukulele and to teaching the basic cords for the song. We will have the tabs and cords available.

You bring your ukulele and a willingness to share your passion to share Jimi Hendrix with the next generation of music lovers!
