POSITION SUMMARY
Work directly with potential and new artisans to support RAI onboarding and training curriculum. Help create new sewing pattern samples for product prototypes.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education and Experience:
Required:
- Skilled sewing/crafter
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Flexible schedule based on project objectives (8 hours per month, M-F 10 to 4)
- Ability to interact with a variety of people.
- Respect of diverse lifestyles, cultures, religions, and values
Preferred:
- Previous teaching/mentoring experience
- Experience in non-profit setting
- Bi-lingual a plus but not required
- Own transportation

ORIENTATION & TRAINING
New Volunteers will maintain in compliance with Refugee Artisan Initiative and program-specific standards in regard to competencies, safety and confidentiality.
- Background check required
- Review and follow Refugee Artisan Initiative policies and guidelines
- Respect and maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, staff, and other volunteers
- Maintain regular communication with assigned program supervisor
