Upower, a Seattle-based nonprofit that provides fitness classes and wellness education to underserved teens, is hiring qualified coaches to join our team. Our coaches take a trauma-sensitive approach to coaching by creating a safe space for teens to learn how to regulate their emotions through sport and play.
Candidates must have a passion for working with underserved teens and be a team player. A background in fitness, athletics, and/or team sports is desirable. Experience in physical therapy, child and community psychology is helpful.
Classes take place during regular hours and after school at school campuses located from North Seattle to Burien, including King County Juvenile Detention. Candidates must provide their own transportation and are required to pass background checks.
