Snoqualmie celebrates its Tree City USA status and commitment to the environment with a combined Arbor & Earth Day event on April 20, 1-4 pm at Snoqualmie Community Park, 35016 SE Ridge Street, and you’re invited! This event is for all ages and includes native plant restoration, a poetry and poster contest, a scavenger hunt, trellis making, and a make-your-own trail mix bar. See details below:
Event Timeline:
1 – 2 pm – Mayor’s proclamation; poetry and poster contest award winners, seedling giveaway, scavenger hunt, trellis-making activity, light refreshments, and a make-your-own trail mix bar
2 – 4 pm – Native plant restoration around Stillwater Bog (upper park around Stillwater Bog). Citizens are invited to help with the annual Arbor Day tree planting. Participants should wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, gloves, and rain gear as needed. No experience is required.
