Earth Day 2018

Celebrate Earth Day with a work party at the Washington Park Arboretum!

Volunteers will work in groups across the entire Arboretum completing projects like weeding, removing invasive species, clearing brush or mulching. We have a work site near the starting location for families with young kids to enjoy.

WHEN: 9am at Crabapple Meadow - Volunteers will arrive in the meadow and be met with snacks and coffee generously donated by Starbucks and Caffe Ladro. There will be snack bars at the work sites for a break, donated by Clif Bar.

* At 1pm volunteer will return to the Meadow where there will be some light food provided for our hard working volunteers to sit or wander the Arboretum with a sandwich.

WHERE: Washington Park Arboretum, 2300 Arboretum Drive East, Seattle, WA 98112. (#43 or #48 bus to 24th Ave East at Lynn Street.) Meet at Crabapple Meadow just south of the Graham Visitor Center

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, preferably work boots or sturdy sneakers. Please also bring a reusable water bottle and layers. If you have tall rain boots, those are always helpful to bring!
