We're going for GOLD! Yukon Gold Potatoes, at Bailey's U-Pick near Snohomish. It will be awesome. We dig the potatoes with a mechanical potato digger. Harvest volunteers pick up and bag potatoes in the field into 10-pound family size portions. Then they move bags to bins in the field. This is an exciting new way of harvesting that will greatly increase the amount of field produce going to the food banks. The potatoes arrive ready for distribution to the Food Lifeline. Our goal is to harvest 60,000 pounds this day.
