Each year, the Crosscut Courage Awards Fundraising Breakfast recognizes those among us who have shown bold leadership and enduring courage, despite personal or organization risk. For the 2019 awards, we will be honoring leaders who have reached across social, cultural, political or ideological lines for the greater good. We are honoring individuals in the categories of:
- Lifetime Achievement- Justice Bobbe Bridge
- Public Service- Rex Holhbein
- Elected Office- Justice Mary Yu
- Culture- Delbert Richardson
- Business- Louise Chernin
- Technology- Kieran Snyder
In addition to celebrating courage, this annual event raises essential funds that support Crosscut’s quality coverage of critically underreported local and regional issues.
We expect approximately 200-250 people to attend the event, which will be a seated, plated breakfast and awards presentation in the King Street Ballroom, which is inside the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Pioneer Square.
As a greeter/directional volunteer, you will greet event attendees and guide them toward the check-in area for the event, which will be located in the "Perch" area just outside the King Street Ballroom. You will be stationed inside the hotel at one of several entrances or by one of the elevator banks. You will be standing/walking for the duration of the shift.
Dress code is business.
Training will be provided at 6:15 am by event staff. Attendees will begin arriving around 6:30 am. Your duties will end by 8 am.
