FIRST Robotics Competition is for young people grade 9-12 and ages 14-18 years old. FIRST Robotics Competition combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules, limited resources and time limits, teams are comprised of 4 or more students and are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand", work on team building skills and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It's as close to "real-world" engineering as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team.
No experience necessary. We will provide any training needed. While this may sound like a big commitment, it bring a great value to the students and our communities. Students are excited to work with people from the community and show off their hard work through competitions.
