You and your fellow volunteers will participate in fun, hands-on conservation work led by DNDA Nature Consortium staff. Restoration work includes removing invasive plants, planting native species, and mulching new plantings, depending on the restoration progress in each site. Work parties are often accompanied by live musicians, bringing the arts and nature together for our enjoyment! What to Bring: Please dress appropriately with long pants, warm and dry layers, closed-toed shoes, lunch, and water bottle. Waterproof clothing is highly recommended. What We Provide: Tools, gloves, onsite training and safety talk, extra water and granola bars.
UPDATE: This event is now full. If you would like to volunteer with us at this date, please sign up for the 11/16 Forest Restoration Event at Riverview Park. |
