'Tis the season to spread holiday cheer! Help us make the season warm and bright for those who need it most. We are looking for volunteers to help wrap donated holiday gifts for our residents at Nyer Urness House in Ballard. Sunday, December 22nd we will be hosting our final gift wrapping party of the season from 1-3pm. (Which is perfect timing if you want to spend the morning doing some last-minute holiday shopping at the Ballard market before heading over.)
Each volunteer is welcome to bring 1-2 rolls of wrapping paper to compete in the "coolest wrapping paper" contest, and bows and ribbons are greatly appreciated. While our regular volunteer age requirement is 14, volunteers of ALL AGES are welcome at this event!
We will provide tape, scissors, festive snacks and drinks, and holiday tunes!
Please note, parking is extremely limited in the area, especially on Sundays during the market.
The event is scheduled 1-3pm, but as we are only wrapping the gifts for this program (80 residents) we may end early depending on the number of volunteers who are able to come.
