We're in need of volunteers to help us pack boxes and bags of food for distribution.
Our greatest need is on Tuesdays, 10am-12pm & 1pm-3pm and Thursdays, 5pm-7pm. However. other shifts are available.
The minimum age for volunteering is 9 years. Youth between 9-15 years must have a parent or guardian volunteer alongside them. Youth between 16-17 years of age can volunteer on their own with a permission form signed by a parent or guardian.
If this is of interest, please complete an online application here: https://www.northwestharvest.org/sign-upapply-to-volunteer or send an email to volunteer@northwestharvest.org
PLEASE NOTE: The health and safety of our volunteers is a top priority for Northwest Harvest. As an essential service, we are still open during the stay at home order, and we can still accept volunteers. In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, we’ve added the following precautionary measures:
- We’re managing our shifts so that volunteers can work at a safe distance from each other.
- We’re asking all volunteers to plan on washing their hands when they enter our facilities and multiple times throughout the time period they’re with us.
- It is crucial for all volunteers to self-evaluate. If someone is feeling unwell- even with the most minor of symptoms- we ask them not to volunteer at this time.
- We’re asking all volunteers to take their temperature at home prior to coming to the shift. If they have a temperature, we ask they stay home.
- Our volunteer and operational teams are cleaning and sanitizing all areas of our facilities multiple times throughout the day.
- We understand that coming to volunteer is a personal decision and ask all volunteers to make their own choices as to what is best for their well-being and safety. Please let us know if you need to cancel a shift.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AS WE RESPOND TO THIS UNPRECEDENTED AND CHALLENGING CRISIS!
