In-Person Tax Preparation Specialist

Location Information
You can choose a weekly shift that works for you! There are several shift options to choose from including days, evenings and weekends. Volunteers commit to attending a weekly, 3-hour or 5-hour shift during tax season. Shifts for tax preparers are as follows:
Shift Schedule
Thursday, Shift 1: 5:30pm-8:30pm
Sunday, Shift 1: 10:30am-3:30pm

Below you will find date and time of the first day of your weekly shift. This date and time will correspond to your shift choice for the rest of the season.
- Every Thursday from 5:30PM - 8:30PM (starting on February 3rd)
- Every Sunday from 10:30AM-3:30PM (starting on February 6)
For example:
Shift begins on Jan. 18 @ 5:30 pm, duration: 3 hours.
This means your shift will be every Tuesday, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
Mandatory COVID-19 Requirements:
In order to keep volunteers and clients safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, all in-person positions for volunteers and staff will require proof of being fully vaccinated from COVID-19 and site specific PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) must be worn at all times.
Mandatory Training Requirements:
You will have the option to sign up for self-paced virtual training or in-person training when you register. These training will include taking the certification exam to be IRS VITA Tax Law Certified.
