About:
The Big Taste is a wine, beer, cider and distilled beverages tasting event at Hangar 30 in Magnuson Park on March 26th hosted by the University Sunrise Rotary Club. Proceeds benefit Outdoors for All! Volunteers will be able to attend and enjoy the event at no cost after their shift concludes.
Where: Hanger 30 at Magnuson Park
When: March 26th, 2022
Volunteer roles and times:
Set Up (11 AM – 1:30 PM)
Setup tables & chairs; hand sanitizer; face masks; bottled water; tasting glasses tables; Rotary info; retail store; Registration; Rotary info booth; charity info & more; other logistics as determined on-site
Registration (4 PM – 7:30 PM)
Check proof of vaccination for all attendees over age 5; check ID of all guests that want to be served alcohol; provide wrist bracelet to affirm that ID and proof of vaccination has been checked
Public Health Monitor (4PM – 8PM)
Monitor public health parameters are being met. Be friendly, remind folks to wear masks unless actively drinking or eating, check on supplies of hand sanitizer, etc.
Outdoors for All Info Tent (4:30 PM – 8:30 PM)
Staff info stations (includes wine toss or spin the wheel activity); be friendly; Q & A w/ guests; distribute bottles of water; help clean up.
Event Logistics (4:30 PM – 8:30 PM)
General “catch all” assistance with night of event logistics, respond in the moment as needs arise.
Clean Up (7:30 PM – 9:30 PM)
Bag-up recycling / compost / trash; clean off tables; return all tables and chairs to storage; assist tasting vendors in loading their vehicles; mop up spills. Other duties as identified.
