Roll your sleeves up this Spring season by joining us to volunteer at Horiuchi Park P-Patch in the Yesler Terrace neighborhood of Seattle. This park is a community-stewarded space that is a part of the P-Patch Community Gardening program throughout the city.
The community gardening program promotes United Way's mission to fight food insecurity by donating thousands of pounds of organic produce to meal programs and food banks across Seattle annually.
For this volunteer project, you will be helping with tasks to make an accessible pathway in the garden. Tasks will include:
- Laying down gravel
- Clearing sidewalks
- Transporting materials
- Other tasks as needed
