The Sammamish River is important habitat for Chinook salmon and a host of other wildlife. Mid Sound Fisheries, in partnership with King County Parks and volunteers like you, is removing Himalayan Blackberry along 1200 feet of the Sammamish River and replacing it with diverse native vegetation to promote healthy future forest and buffer habitat. This Earth Day we need your help to remove blackberry from the site and spread mulch to help prevent re-growth before our planting season this fall.
Once you register we will send an email with information on how to access the site and what to bring with you!
King County requires that all volunteers on King County Parks property be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. We will check for proof of vaccination at the beginning of the event.
