Join us for a work-PARTY! 

Did you know that in the heart of the industrial setting of Tukwila lies a cultural landscape significant in Puget Sound Salish traditional stories?! And this place is open and free to the public to explore? The Duwamish Hill Preserve encompasses a beautiful area, but it needs your help to stay that way. Join the Friends of the Hill at our monthly work party to help contribute to the restoration of this area.

We will be removing young blackberries to make sure native plants and space to grow.  

All ages and abilities are welcome, and no experience is necessary! Tools and training are provided onsite. 

What to Bring: 

  • Gardening gloves/work gloves if you have them,we will provide them if you do not. 
  • Closed-toe shoes are required! This is for safety.
  • Refillable water bottle- help keep waste down 
  • Clothing that can get dirty, layers recommended
  • Long sleeves and thick leg coverings, we are moving thorny blackberries
  • Rain gear -OR- sunblock and a sun hat
