Join us for a Summer Plant ID Walk and Clean Up Event
The first day of summer means many of our native plants are flowering and fruiting. Join us for a quick native plant tour followed by a chance to remove some non-native weeds from the park. Come ready to learn! It will also be a great chance to get your hands in the dirt, learn about native plants and our local forests, and work alongside neighbors and friends! No experience necessary; gloves and tools are provided.
When: Thursday, June 22nd, 4pm-6pm
Where: Pioneer Park SE. Meet at the corner of Island Crest Way and SE 68th St
What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers). Bring water. Small snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided.
