Summary: We invite volunteers to join Sound Generations' annual Inspire Positive Aging Awards Luncheon celebration showcasing and honoring the contributions of older adults throughout King County. The event will take place Wednesday, June 12th, at The Meydenbauer Center, in Bellevue, WA.
With an interest in strengthening Sound Generations’ intergenerational connections, we seek high school-aged youth for the role of Greeter / Chaperone, but all willing volunteers are welcome!
Role Description: Your role is twofold: As a greeter, you will welcome guests and give directional assistance during the networking hour. As a chaperone/escort, you will assist IPAA nominees and awardees to and from stage during the program. Your shifts are as follows (approximately): Greeter 11:00 to 12:15, Chaperone/Escort 12:15 to 1:15.
Requirements: Be friendly and personable. Be comfortable standing and walking for a prolonged period (approx. 60-80 min.). Be able to make the nominees and awardees feel supported and special. Dress code is business casual. Will need to arrive at the listed call time of 11:00a and stay until the nominees and awardees have been recognized. Will confirm end time (between 1 and 1:30) closer to event date.
