Summer can be an especially uncertain time for kids and families who are food insecure. In King County, 100,000 low-income students rely on free or discounted meals during the school year, and during the summer months, the free, federal Summer Meals program helps fill this gap. We know that kids and teenagers need access to healthy, nutritious food throughout the year in order to be successful, and that's why United Way of King County is committed to connecting families to this critical program.
Join us for the 2024 Summer Meals Celebration at Jefferson Park and Jefferson Community Center. This event will be packed with educational activities, games, and plenty of food.

Volunteers will help provide a welcoming, interactive, and fun environment for kids and keep them engaged throughout the day.
Volunteer duties will include: staffing the various activities: bounce houses, lawn games, and activities.
