On Friday, August 2, El Centro de la Raza is partnering with the City of Seattle's Office of Civil Rights for a very special event, 'Ignite the Change.' We are planning a rally and program at our Seattle office in support of civil and voting rights, in honor of the 60th anniversary of the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The event will be complete with music, food, inspirational speakers, optional organizing workshops, and a community resource fair.
We are looking for volunteers who can help with a variety of tasks, including set-up/clean-up, ushers, voter registration table attendants, food service volunteers, guest speaker assistance, and potentially more. Come be a part of this very special civic engagement event and celebration of our civil rights!
