Who We Are

REST's mission is to provide pathways to freedom, safety, and hope for victims of sex trafficking and people involved in the sex trade. REST offers a full continuum of care with programs that provide relationship-based, survivor-centered, and trauma-informed services for hundreds of women and men in our community who have been exploited in the sex trade each year.

What We Do

In fiscal year 2019, REST connected with over 785 unique individuals through the following programs of intervention and restoration:

  • Community Advocacy: Individualized programming empowering survivors of commercial sexual exploitation (CSE) to identify their goals and dreams for the future and to support them to achieve those goals through focused case management including accessing housing, employment services, and education.
  • Drop-in Services: A safe place within the Pathways Services Center for CSE survivors to come for a hot meal, support groups, classes and workshops, peer support and community with other survivors.
  • Integrated Health Clinic: Provides clients with trauma-informed, integrated mental and physical health care within the safety and privacy of the REST Pathways Services Center.
  • REST Economic and Leadership Empowerment Academy: including job readiness training, stipend internships, leadership development workshops, and job placement services.
  • Emergency Receiving Center: A 24/7 hotline provides crisis intervention for individuals who are seeking immediate help; a seven-bed low-barrier emergency shelter provides safety and the opportunity for stabilization for women ages 18+, while also providing housing support.
  • Residential Program (REST House): two year independent living program provides six individuals of all genders who have experienced any form of human trafficking with a family-like home environment. Residents can stay for up to two years and participate in supportive services like counseling, life skills training, education and job training.
