Who We Are
The mission of GRASSROOT PROJECTS is to empower under-resourced immigrant and refugee children in the U.S. We provide resources and guidance to help them integrate successfully within the community. Our motto is "Small Projects, Big Dreams." Our projects fund or directly provide resources for the children's health, nutrition, clothing, education, and cultural needs. Our children are our future. We embrace our responsibility to nurture them and create the conditions through which they can thrive and achieve success. Grassroot Projects envisions a future in which immigrant and refugee children feel special and wanted and have the opportunity to simply enjoy their childhoods. We were established in 2017 in Sammamish, WA and are 100% volunteer run. We have an outreach all over King county and in parts of Snohomish county in WA, as well as in the city of Indianapolis, IN.
What We Do
We have two main programs- 1. Our custom care package program provides immigrant and refugee families with basic essentials to provide a foundation for their life in the U.S. From ingredients for familiar foods to car seats to toys, our care packages are intended to bring a smile to children while making their parents’ lives a little easier during difficult times. 2. Our Sponsor A Passion program helps children thrive by getting them involved in existing passions and provide funding/opportunities to pursue extra curricular activities.
