Grassroot Projects is seeking an experienced and committed Volunteer Board Member at Large to join our working board. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting immigrant and refugee families with children in the Greater Seattle and Indianapolis areas, ensuring they have access to basic needs and opportunities to thrive.
What You’ll Do
As a Board Member at Large, you will:
Provide strategic leadership and governance for the organization
Actively engage in fundraising, donor relations, and community partnerships
Support hands-on projects and events — we are a working board, and members play an active role in carrying out initiatives
Serve as an ambassador for Grassroot Projects in the community
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking individuals who:
Preferably have prior nonprofit board or leadership experience
Bring skills in one or more of the following: nonprofit fundraising, tech, legal, HR, finance or marketing
Are collaborative, community-driven, and action-oriented
Are willing to dedicate approximately 15 hours/month to board service
Can commit to a 2-year term and contribute a minimum personal donation of $1000 annually
Participate in quarterly (virtual) board meetings
