About the Participant:
- Alert & Oriented: The participant is alert and oriented but has been experiencing some life changes.
- Isolated & Limited Social Supports: Due to these changes, the participant has become socially isolated and struggles with mental health challenges.
- Love for Animals: The participant loves animals, especially dogs. She recently had to give up her pet due to personal care needs, which has further contributed to her feelings of isolation.
- Desire for Companionship: She is seeking a friendly visitor to help bring some joy, companionship, and emotional support to her life.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- A background check and medical screening will be conducted to ensure the safety of both the participant and the volunteer.
- Volunteers will receive a name badge for identification and to make the experience comfortable for all involved.
Support Provided:
- Comprehensive guidance is given at every step of the volunteer process.
- Volunteers will receive additional support to help foster positive interactions and maintain the participant's well-being.
