The Washington West African Center (WAWAC) is looking for a Sewing Class Coordinator to help organize and oversee sewing workshops that empower community members with valuable skills and creative expression. This role supports program planning, participant engagement, and resource management to ensure classes run smoothly and inclusively.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule and coordinate sewing classes and manage supplies
Support instructors and participants during sessions
Track attendance and progress for reporting
Organize showcases or events to highlight participants’ work
Collaborate with program leads to align sewing classes with community initiatives
