The Washington West African Center (WAWAC) is seeking a Food Distribution & Logistics Assistant to support our Food Justice pillar. This role ensures that culturally relevant foods are efficiently packaged, transported, and distributed to community members in a welcoming and organized manner.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with planning and coordinating food distribution events
Support logistics for packaging perishable and non‑perishable items
Help manage supplies, storage, and transportation arrangements
Track distribution data and report on resource utilization
Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operations
Promote a positive, respectful experience for families receiving food
