Description

The Washington West African Center (WAWAC) is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate volunteers to support our Health Insurance Enrollment and Vaccine Clinic. This important community event will provide essential health insurance enrollment assistance and vaccine services to community members, ensuring equitable access to healthcare resources.

As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for attendees. Under the guidance of WAWAC’s staff and event coordinators, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the clinic, helping community members feel comfortable and cared for.

Volunteer Responsibilities

  • Registration Support: Assist community members with check-in to ensure a smooth and confidential process.

  • Event Coordination: Assist attendees in navigating to the designated stations, address their questions, and offer general support.

  • Community Assistance: Offer a friendly presence to alleviate any stress or discomfort attendees may feel during the enrollment or vaccination process.

  • Logistics & Setup: Support event setup, organize materials, and coordinate the flow of activities throughout the clinic.

  • Awareness & Outreach: Share information about available resources and encourage community members to take advantage of services offered.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with WAWAC staff, healthcare providers, and other volunteers to ensure the event runs smoothly and efficiently.
