As a volunteer, you provide essential support to our education team. You will learn and grow professionally in this field, at the same time the children we enrich do. We offer flexible scheduling, professional development and training, as well as other benefits to show our appreciation and commitment to our volunteers. Primarily volunteers will aid staff in our after-school program to enrich children through projects, crafts and discussions.
Estimated Time Commitment: Very Flexible, set your own hours.
All Volunteers MUST submit to a background check.
The Program runs Monday through Thursday.
- Mon, Tues, Thurs 4:30 – 6:30 pm
- Wed 2:00 -4:00
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Engage and enrich students in the after-school program.
- Participate in and potentially lead discussions among students on approved topics.
- Demonstrate and instruct lesson plans as needed.
- Offer ideas and feedback on lesson plans, curriculum, activities and program.
- Lead students through the approved schedule, from one activity to the next.
- Clean and organize classroom before and after program.
- Report to Volunteer Lead or Coordinator when necessary.
