Are you fluent in Cantonese and passionate about making a meaningful difference in someone’s life? We’re seeking a compassionate volunteer to provide companionship and support to a participant living with vascular dementia.

This individual has a rich background in crocheting, knitting, and reading, and enjoys taking walks. Your presence can bring joy, comfort, and connection to their daily life.

What You’ll Do:

  • Engage in friendly visits to offer companionship and conversation
  • Accompany the participant on walks, offering encouragement and presence
  • Share or explore interests in crocheting, knitting, and reading to spark engagement

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Fluent Cantonese speakers with a warm, patient demeanor
  • Individuals with a genuine interest in supporting someone with dementia
  • Volunteers committed to enriching another person’s life through meaningful interaction

 Volunteer Requirements:

To ensure a safe and supportive environment, volunteers must complete:

  • A Volunteer Application
  • Background Screening
  • Medical Screening
