Role: Companion Visitor for a vibrant, well-traveled elder (70+)
Are you someone who finds deep purpose in giving back to our elderly community? Do you believe in the power of presence, compassion, and human connection—especially for those who may struggle to express themselves but still long to be seen, heard, and valued?
We are seeking a caring, compassionate volunteer to spend time with a joyful and intelligent elder who has lived a rich life full of travel and experiences. Though aging has brought challenges in communication, this participant radiates warmth, humor, and a love for socializing. They often speak in complex phrases that reflect a lifetime of wisdom, even if the message isn’t always clear. What they truly need is someone who listens with their heart.
What You’ll Do:
- Visit regularly to offer companionship and emotional support
- Engage in light conversation, storytelling, or simply sharing quiet moments
- Celebrate the participant’s vibrant personality and life journey
- Be a gentle presence who understands that aging brings many layers—and that every elder deserves dignity, respect, and joy
