Offered through Providence Elder Place PACE—an innovative program supporting older adults to live independently and with dignity in their communities.
We’re looking for a compassionate volunteer to spend time with an elderly participant living with advanced dementia and impaired communication. Though words may be few, their spirit shines brightly when surrounded by:
- Photography
- Music
- Dogs
- The Outdoors
Your presence—whether through gentle conversation, quiet companionship, or simply sitting together in nature, can bring comfort, connection, and joy.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Patient, empathetic, and kind-hearted individuals
- Comfortable engaging with nonverbal or limited communication
- Flexible and reliable volunteers
- Age 18+
- Why It Matters:
No special skills are required, just a warm heart and a willingness to be present. Your time can transform someone’s day, offering peace, companionship, and a sense of belonging.
