Description

Offered through Providence Elder Place PACE—an innovative program supporting older adults to live independently and with dignity in their communities.

We’re looking for a compassionate volunteer to spend time with an elderly participant living with advanced dementia and impaired communication. Though words may be few, their spirit shines brightly when surrounded by:

  •  Photography
  •  Music
  •  Dogs
  •  The Outdoors

Your presence—whether through gentle conversation, quiet companionship, or simply sitting together in nature, can bring comfort, connection, and joy.

 Who We’re Looking For:

  • Patient, empathetic, and kind-hearted individuals
  • Comfortable engaging with nonverbal or limited communication
  • Flexible and reliable volunteers
  • Age 18+
  •  Why It Matters:

No special skills are required, just a warm heart and a willingness to be present. Your time can transform someone’s day, offering peace, companionship, and a sense of belonging.

 Volunteer Requirements:

To ensure a safe and supportive environment, volunteers must complete:

  • A Volunteer Application
  • Background Screening
  • Medical Screening
