We’re seeking a kind-hearted and dependable volunteer to accompany a friendly
and independent participant on his trips to church using DART transportation.
This is more than just a ride, it’s a chance to offer companionship, share meaningful conversations, and brighten someone’s week.
About Opportunity
- Purpose: Accompany a participant to and from church via DART.
- Frequency: Weekly preferred, but flexible volunteer when it works for you.
- Duration: Multi-hour commitment including travel and service time.
- Location: Meet at the participant’s home and travel together.
About the Participant
- Fully independent with personal care.
- I am conversing, awareness, and enjoy engaging with others.
- Looking for a friendly companion to share the journey with.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Meet the participant at his home.
- Travel together on DART to church and back.
- Offer companionship and support throughout the trip.
Volunteer Requirements
- Age:
- Adults 18+ may volunteer independently.
- Youth under 18 may volunteer with a parent or guardian.
- Qualities:
- Reliable, punctual, friendly, and patient.
- Comfortable with multi-hour commitments.
